Find Controller Settings
Open the Journal and look for Controller Settings. This is the keyboard-rebinding location given by developer Denki Liam on June 18, 2026.
The official Demo guide uses D-pad Down for opening the Journal with an Xbox-style controller. Its control and trick pages are also useful when practicing BMX moves.
Can’t open the Journal during the tutorial?
An August player report described being unable to open the menu during the early tutorial, then being able to switch to the Bird layout later. In response, the developer said the final version would allow the Journal to open immediately from the beginning.
That reply describes a full-release change; it is not confirmation that every demo build has the same opening behavior. The player clarified that they were using a Nintendo Pro Controller, so this report was not specific to keyboard play.
