TANUKI: Pon’s Summer

TANUKI: Pon’s Summer Demo Shrine Building & Kit’s Tutorial

June 2026 PC demo shrine lesson, with PlayStation-style controller symbols.

At a glance

Kit asks for at least 20 decoration placements. Collect the five free practice pieces, build in the available area, then return to Kit’s stall and finish the conversation until Building Bridges completes.

Reach Kit on Wednesday

Follow the Wednesday objective in the Journal toward the shrine and Kit’s stall. The demo sequence follows the Post Office conversation explaining that Wednesday is a day off.

Kit limits the building lesson to the available practice area and asks Pon to place at least 20 decorations.

Collect the five free practice pieces

The lesson’s initial shop contains:

  • Bench (Blue)
  • Lamp
  • Plant Box
  • Stone Wall (Corner)
  • Stone Wall (Straight)

These five practice entries are priced at 0. Buy the entries until the list is empty. This is the tutorial selection, rather than the price of every decoration in the game.

Build Mode controls

Outside the shop, use Triangle — Enable Build Mode.

The green preview becomes a solid object after placement, with a placement effect and a reputation notification. These are placement signals; they are separate from the final quest completion.

The symbols above are from a PC demo using PlayStation-style controller prompts. They are not keyboard keys or confirmation of a PlayStation demo release.

Finish Building Bridges

Continue placing decorations for Kit’s lesson. His automatic response during building is not the final completion card.

Return to the stall’s Check interaction and continue his explanation about postal earnings, decorations and reputation ranks. The task is finished when Building Bridges is marked complete. Do not assume the conversation triggers immediately on the twentieth placement.

Reach the demo ending

After the quest completes, Pon can still move. Leave along the shrine’s main path, across the bridge and up the steps. The next transition leads to Thank you for Playing!
